Only three things in the app check whether you have paid: the chapter audio control, the word audio button on a word card, and the saved vocabulary list. Nothing else is behind the paywall. There is no chapter limit, no daily cap, and no locked books.

Do I need an account to read?
No. The text, the glosses, the lexicon and the topics all work with no sign-in at all. An account is only needed to carry a subscription and to sync saved vocabulary.
What is the difference between monthly and lifetime?
Nothing in what you get. $4.99 per month bills until you cancel. $49.99 is a single payment with no renewal.
How do I cancel?
From the account panel inside the reader, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancelling leaves the free features untouched.
